Ready today. Status: ready today. ## Try it · Connect yours - Try it: Open Email — hi@busymate.ai — mailto:hi@busymate.ai - Connect Email: https://busymate.ai/console/email — A hosted sign-in for a Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 mailbox, or an IMAP server, user name and app password for any other. Two current limits: a personal Gmail account connects over IMAP with an app password until Google's review of the sign-in completes, and personal Outlook.com mailboxes are not available yet. To run it on your own EmailEngine: version 2.72 or newer at a public https address, an instance-level API token, and your own EmailEngine licence. ## Email in action A customer writes on Email, your mate answers from your own content, and your team steps in from the Inbox when it matters. - The Email setup card in the Console of a new workspace, before anything is connected.: https://busymate.ai/connector-proof/email/console-light-desktop-1888.webp (2026-10-02) Diagram: a customer sends a message on Email; your mate answers; when needed the conversation is handed to your Inbox and team. ## What you get - Grounded answers in the thread — Your mate answers from your own pages, documents and connected tools, and says so when a question is outside them. - Hand-off to a person — Ask for a human and the conversation moves to your team with the full history; your mate steps back until the person is done. - Replies from your Inbox — Your team answers from the Console Inbox and the reply goes back on the same channel, in the same thread. ## Set it up in the Console 1. Publish the support address for your workspace, or connect your own mailbox from the Console with the hosted sign-in. 2. Your mate reads each new email, answers from that same address, and keeps everything in one thread in the Inbox. 3. Choose how much of a customer's earlier mail your mate may use, and which copilot actions it may take; a teammate can take over any thread. ## Questions ### Is it ready today? Ready today: connect your own mailbox with a hosted sign-in, or use your workspace's support address. Personal Gmail is IMAP-only until Google's review completes, personal Outlook.com isn't supported yet, and a reply from the support address may take a moment to land on strict inboxes. Your own EmailEngine server is supported too, on every plan. ### Does connecting Email cost extra? No platform fee: Busymate AI bills per workspace plan, not per channel. The channel's own provider may charge for its numbers, messages or approvals. ### What happens when it cannot answer? It says when it is unsure. If handoff is enabled for your workspace and channel, it can ask your team to take over in the Inbox. It confirms when your team has been asked to help. ## Related - How to integrate Email: https://busymate.ai/docs/guides/email - Messaging channels: https://busymate.ai/connectors/category/messaging-channels.md - All connectors: https://busymate.ai/connectors.md
