## What you get

- Grounded answers in the thread — Your mate answers from your own pages, documents and connected tools, and says so when a question is outside them.
- Hand-off to a person — Ask for a human and the conversation moves to your team with the full history; your mate steps back until the person is done.
- Replies from your Inbox — Your team answers from the Console Inbox and the reply goes back on the same channel, in the same thread.

## Set it up in the Console

1. Bring a messaging-enabled number, or a messaging service that groups several numbers.
2. Open Console → Connections → SMS and fill in the account ID, the auth token and the number; the screen names each field.
3. Point the number's incoming-message webhook at the address the Console shows you, method POST.
4. Text the number from any phone; a teammate joins from the Inbox when needed.

### Is it ready today?

In beta: text +1 607 669 2331 and your mate texts back, to US numbers and abroad alike; US carrier registration is approved.

### Does connecting SMS cost extra?

No platform fee: Busymate AI bills per workspace plan, not per channel. The channel's own provider may charge for its numbers, messages or approvals.

### What happens when it cannot answer?

It says when it is unsure. If handoff is enabled for your workspace and channel, it can ask your team to take over in the Inbox. It confirms when your team has been asked to help.
